About.

I’m Sarah Textor, the designer and maker behind Clive Street.

For more than 12 years, I’ve been transforming reclaimed textiles into distinctive, practical bags and accessories. Vintage towels, blankets and pre-loved textiles are carefully collected, cleaned, cut and reimagined by hand in my Brisbane studio.

Clive Street is named after my father, Robert Clive Curtis, and began with a simple love of sewing.

As a completely self-taught maker, I’m proud to create beautiful, high-quality pieces from materials that may otherwise have been discarded.

Every textile arrives with its own character, markings and history. Instead of hiding these details, I celebrate them, giving each material a second life and ensuring every Clive Street piece is genuinely unique.

I hope your Clive Street piece becomes part of your everyday life and continues its story with you.
